Cardiologist’s body recovered after tragic swimming accident
The bodies of a 42-year-old cardiologist and his son were found washed ashore Friday, Oct. 30, after their family had gone swimming.
N. Jothilingam worked as a cardiologist at Omandurar Government Hospital in Tamil Nadu, India. He was an associate professor and an experienced surgeon.
Jothilingam was also a published author, contributing to numerous studies that appeared in the Global Journal for Research Analysis.
C. Vijayabaskar, MBBS, Tamil Nadu’s health minister, commented on the incident on social media, describing Jothilingam as “the backbone” of his heart transplantation team.
“My heart goes out to the bereaved family,” he said. “Heartfelt condolences.”
