KLAS unveils tops for software, services
KLAS released its “Best in KLAS” awards for 2014. For cardiology, Merge won top laurels while Epic captured two overall awards.
The research company bases its rankings on the scores providers give vendors, with a focus on software, professional services and medical equipment. KLAS publishes two sets of awards, one for medical equipment that is released in the summer and the other for software and services that comes out in the winter.
The software and services report, which marks the company’s 17th anniversary for its Best in KLAS awards, includes information on products and trends. The report has expanded to assess population health, urgent care, alarm management and CDI services. KLAS also published a separate Best in KLAS report on non-U.S. vendors.
Merge Cardio received Best in KLAS under cardiology and Merge Hemo was named category leader for cardiology hemodynamics. Epic garnered the overall physician practice vendor award and the overall software suite award.
KLAS listed more than 100 awards in its 2014 report.
