GAO report finds potential flaws in Medicare payment model
A report from the Government Accountability Office (GAO) concluded that the Medicare fee schedule may be flawed because the American Medical Association does not collect accurate payment data. The GAO also cited concerns about doctors setting the Medicare rates.
