ACC launches new journal
The American College of Cardiology (ACC) announced it plans on launching a journal, JACC: Basic Translational Research, in December.
The ACC said in a news release that the journal “will serve as a forum for advancing the field of translational cardiovascular medicine and as a platform for accelerating the translation of novel scientific discoveries into new therapies that improve clinical outcomes for patients affected with cardiovascular disease.”
Douglas L. Mann, MD, FACC, will be the editor-in-chief of the monthly, open access journal. Mann is a cardiologist at Barnes Jewish hospital in St. Louis and a professor at the Washington University School of Medicine.
