Government details case against bankrupt cardiac biomarker lab
The Justice Department filed a civil complaint alleging BlueWave HealthCare Consultants paid doctors around $68 million in illegal kickbacks to order blood tests from Health Diagnostic Laboratory (HDL), the Wall Street Journal reports.
HDL founder Tonya Mallory received at least $26 million from the company, while BlueWave received $223 million in commissions over five years. HDL recently filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection. Read more at the link below:
