Prices of pacemakers, defibrillators and other devices are declining
The prices of pacemakers, defibrillators and other medical devices are declining, the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.
The newspaper cited data from the nonprofit ECRI Institute that found U.S. hospitals reported a 5 percent price decline for basic pacemakers, a 2 percent decline for bioprosthetic valves and a 10 percent decline for drug-eluting coronary stents in the past three years.
