U.S. Soccer CEO undergoes successful heart transplant surgery
U.S. Soccer CEO Dan Flynn underwent successful heart transplant surgery on April 26, the organization announced in a statement.
“The surgery was deemed a success, and he is expected to make a full recovery,” U.S. Soccer said.
U.S. Soccer offered no further details. Flynn, 61, has been U.S. Soccer’s CEO and secretary general since June 15, 2000. Before then, Flynn worked in sports marketing and management roles at Anheuser-Busch.
U.S. Soccer President Sunil Gulati sent the following message on Twitter: "The @ussoccer family wishes our great friend and colleague Dan Flynn a full and speedy recovery from surgery."
