Automated dispenser simplifies managing multiple medications

Livi is a new medication dispenser that has come into the market with big hopes of simplifying managing multiple drugs and complicated drugs regimens, especially for older adults. It resembles a Keurig coffee machine in form and design—and it has space to hold up to 15 bottles of different drugs.

A smartphone app can be used to create a schedule for each drug in the Livi once the containers are loaded inside the machine. When it's time to dispense the meds, Livi sends the user a notification and automatically produces the correct dosage of the meds that needs to be taken at that time. Livi can also display instructions for other types of drugs besides pills, such as injections and creams.

This data is stored in the Cloud so only authorized users can update the drug schedule if a docotor recommends a change to the prescription. These users can also be sent a notification when a drug isn't taken at the correct time.
