Toshiba releases Voxar advanced viz products
Toshiba Medical Visualization Systems (MVS) has made the commercial debut of its Voxar 3D product line: Voxar 3D 6.3.2 Workstation and Voxar 3D 6.3.2 ActiveX.
Voxar 3D Workstation has an enterprise-wide integration with PACS--via the PACS worklist--so users can access advanced visualization with one mouse click, according to the Edinburgh, Scotland-based Toshiba MVS. It also can share data in memory with PACS. Once a PACS workstation has loaded a series, it is available to Voxar 3D Workstation, and there is no need to load it again from the workstation or over a network. When captures are taken, they are stored in PACS as Live Images, the company said.
Voxar 3D ActiveX enables Voxar 3D views to be embedded and controlled within the PACS user interface, Toshiba MVS said.
Toshiba MVS is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Toshiba Medical Systems, formed after the acquisition of the advanced visualization business of Barco in February.
