Siemens Launches New Version of Sensis Hemodynamic System at ACC 2016

At the 65th Annual Scientific Session and Expo of the American College of Cardiology (ACC), April 2-4 at McCormick Place in Chicago, Siemens Healthcare unveils a radically revamped version of its established Sensis hemodynamic system – the company’s solution for procedural recording and documentation in interventional cardiology and electrophysiology. Siemens’ brand-new Sensis Vibe offers cath lab employees a dramatically reimagined hemodynamic system that masters the rising demand for proficient data management and streamlines documentation and reporting in the interventional environment. Boasting intuitive operation and simplified data entry as well as seamless integration with Siemens’ Artis family of angiography systems, the Sensis Vibe can help facilities document the course of a cath lab procedure for follow-up care and administrative processes.

Several dynamic new features distinguish Sensis Vibe from previous Siemens hemodynamic systems. FlashDoc, the system’s redesigned approach to procedure data documentation, targets optimal ease of use and includes three core components that are embedded in a new, intuitive user interface. The QuickAdd component is a new interaction concept that searches the system database for matching entries as soon as the user begins typing. The result: auto-completion that allows staff members to remain focused on the patient while completing necessary administrative tasks. The CaseLog component, which enables the physician to follow the entire course of a procedure at a glance, is a time-stamped overview of all hemodynamic/electrical events and other occurrences recorded or manually captured. CaseLog’s structural data lines, customized display, and filter options enable staff to adapt this overview to their preferences. And Smart SIS, the new version of the Sensis Information System, helps staff verify data entries and measurements automatically in addition to highlighting inconsistencies even before a staff member closes a study. In this way, Smart SIS helps to ensure creation of a complete, consistent report.

Sensis Vibe facilitates adoption of a hemodynamic recording and documentation system in the cardiovascular hybrid OR with the new HemoBox signal input unit. Sporting a hygienic surface design, flexible mounting options and improved cable management, the OR-compliant HemoBox provides physicians with patient vital signs and intracardiac measurements. With HemoBox, the heart team can rely on the same recording and documentation capabilities whether they deliver care and treatment in the hybrid OR or the cath lab.
