Covidien scores CE Mark for EverFlex peripheral stent, delivery system

Covidien has received CE Mark approval for its EverFlex self-expanding peripheral stent with Entrust delivery system.

The Entrust delivery system is a one-handed delivery system with a triaxial design to offer a 5 Fr profile that is compatible with a 0.035-inch guidewire, Dublin-based Covidien reported. Other features include a range of catheter lengths and a broad stent matrix.

With the Entrust delivery system, physicians can deploy all sizes of the Covidien EverFlex stent on a low 5 Fr profile. The EverFlex stent was evaluated in the DURABILITY II clinical study.

The product will be rolled out in Western Europe in February, according to the company.
