Facilities meet CMS’ minimum standards for carotid artery stenting of high risk patients
Since the beginning of the year, eight facilities have met the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services’ (CMS’) minimum facility standards for performing carotid artery stenting for high risk patients.
The facilities are:
- Sky Ridge Medical Center in Lone Tree, Colorado (effective date: Jan. 4, 2016)
- McLaren Port Huron in Port Huron, Michigan (effective date: Jan. 4, 2016)
- DMC Huron Valley – Sinai Hospital in Commerce, Michigan (effective date: Jan. 4, 2016)
- Las Palmas Medical Center in El Paso, Texas (effective date: Jan. 7, 2016)
- Community Medical Center Barnabas Health in Toms River, New Jersey (effective date: Jan. 7, 2016)
- VHS Brownsville Hospital DBA Valley Baptist Medical Center – Brownsville in Brownsville, Texas (effective date: March 9, 2016)
- Manchester Memorial Hospital in Manchester, Connecticut (effective date: March 9, 2016)
- Grand Stand Medical Center in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina (effective date: March 23, 2016)
In all, there are 1,358 facilities that have met CMS’s minimum facility standards since 2005.
