Cardiologist arrested for allegedly making ‘inappropriate sexual contact’ with multiple patients

Kozhaya Sokhon, MD, a cardiologist based out of The Woodlands, Texas, has been arrested and charged with indecent assault by a healthcare provider. According to what is described as a “lengthy investigation” by the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, Sokhon allegedly made “inappropriate sexual contact” with multiple patients.

Sokhon currently works as an interventional cardiologist with AdvaCardio, a small cardiology practice with offices in The Woodlands and Houston.

Officers worked in tandem with the county’s district attorney’s office to arrest Sokhon, who is currently the only cardiologist listed on AdvaCardio’s website. According to his profile, he has been seeing patients out of both of AdvaCardio’s offices.

Detectives think there may be additional victims who have not yet been identified, reaching out with both a press release and social media posts. They have asked that any of Sokhon’s former patients “who may have experienced similar sexual contact while under his care” call the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office at 936-760-5800 and refer to case #23A298916.
