Columbia, Mount Sinai align to improve cardiac care quality

Columbia University Medical Center in New York City and Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach, Fla., are partnering to improve the quality of cardiac care for South Florida.

Under the partnership, Columbia and Mount Sinai will work to:
  • Share knowledge, technology and experience for better patient care;
  • Provide research protocols to patients, including new cardiac devices and therapies to increase patient treatment options;
  • Supply South Floridians with coordinated access to physicians and surgeons at Columbia University Medical Center in New York City; and
  • Provide New York patients who are South Florida winter residents with care including a “seamless transfer” of medical records to Mount Sinai.
