Former FDA commissioner Margaret Hamburg, MD, discussed her tenure and provided advice to her successor, Robert Califf, MD, in an interview with STAT. Hamburg, who left the agency in April 2015, is now working part-time as a foreign secretary of the National Academy of Medicine.
