Eight leading British physicians took the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) to task over draft guidelines that recommend anyone with a 10 percent 10-year risk of cardiovascular disease become eligible for statin therapy. NICE fired back in an article published June 10 in The Guardian.
