NovaRad nets two Mississippi clients

A pair of rural Mississippi community hospitals, Perry County General Hospital in Richton and Pioneer Community Hospital in Aberdeen, have selected NovaRad technologies for their radiology departments.

Perry installed NovaPACS and Pioneer installed NovaPACS and NovaRIS, according to the American Fork, Utah-based company. NovaRad South, a NovaRad distributor and systems integrator in the southeast region of the U.S., facilitated both contracts.

NovaRad said that the rural hospitals hope to improve their processes and services from the system purchases by improving reading efficiency and report distribution on-site and speeding image transfers to off-site radiologists for interpretation. Installations of the systems were completed in less than four weeks, the company said.
