Slides: Telestroke network makes care more accessible
Brendan Carr, MD, MA, MSHP, of the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, and colleagues reported that telemedical networks improved stroke care access for people in smaller communities in Oregon. They presented their results at the American Academy of Neurology’s annual meeting in San Diego, which runs March 16 through March 23.
Dr. Carr is an assistant professor of emergency medicine, surgery and epidemiology at the Perelman School of Medicine. He also is associate director of the emergency care policy and research division at Penn, a senior scholar in the Center for Clinical Epidemiology and Biostatistics and a senior fellow in the Leonard Davis Institute of Health Economics.
