Anna Zilova, MD, MBA

Anna Zilova, MD, MBA

Clinical Manager at US Heart and Vascular–Houston Cardiovascular Associates

Dr. Zilova oversees the operational infrastructure of a high-acuity cardiology practice, bringing a winning combination of medical training and business education to a role that demands fluency in both.

What makes Anna’s story particularly resonant is where it began. She grew within this organization from a medical assistant position. From early on she learned workflows at every level of the practice, building the kind of ground-floor operational knowledge that many managers never acquire. Today she draws directly on that experience as she oversees multiple roles and functions, manages the demands of a complex cardiology environment and drives the practice’s continued growth and clinical quality.

Dr. Zilova leads the way she was trained—with her hands in the work. When procedures require support, she steps in. When operational decisions need to be made under pressure, she makes them quickly and with data. Her MD gives her clinical credibility with the teams she leads; her MBA gives her the strategic and analytical tools to build systems that scale. Together the dual credentials make her a uniquely effective bridge between the clinical and administrative worlds of cardiovascular practice.

Anna is also a trusted collaborator with industry partners, engaging in cross-functional initiatives that advance care delivery and practice innovation.

In a field where physician-administrators who truly understand both domains are few and far between, Dr. Anna Zilova is one of the few.
