Morgan Evans

Co-founder and CEO of Agitated Solutions in Minneapolis

Saline contrast echocardiography has been a standard diagnostic tool for decades. For nearly as long, its most fundamental step has been a liability. The manual preparation of agitated saline is inconsistent, operator-dependent and variable in ways that can compromise the very diagnostic accuracy the test is meant to deliver. Morgan Evans noticed—and built a company to fix the problem.

Morgan is leading the development of the Orbis Microbubble Generator, a device designed to standardize saline contrast preparation and bring reproducibility to one of echocardiography’s most persistently unreliable workflows. The clinical stakes are significant, because agitated saline contrast is the primary diagnostic tool for detecting patent foramen ovale, a leading cause of cryptogenic stroke in younger patients. Inconsistent preparation means missed diagnoses, repeat studies and patients who don’t get the interventional care they need.

Agitated Solutions has advanced the Orbis device into U.S. clinical trials. This step represents a regulatory milestone. Behind it are years of clinician collaboration, design iteration and organizational discipline. Evans has built the company in close partnership with the cardiovascular imaging community, ensuring the technology seamlessly fits into real-world echo lab workflows.

In 2026, the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal recognized Evans as a 40 Under 40 honoree—an independently conferred designation that confirms her standing as one of the most consequential young business leaders in the Upper Midwest and possibly the entire nation.

At 37, Morgan Evans is already a cardiovascular-care innovator from whom others in the field can learn and draw inspiration.
