The North Carolina physician allegedly performed unnecessary atherectomy procedures to treat minor blockages in the leg arteries of multiple patients.

According to new data out of the U.S. Department of Labor, physicians have the highest-paying jobs in a majority of states. Cardiologists specifically rank No. 1 in two different states. 

Patients learned that their names, social security numbers, banking numbers and credit card information were all potentially exposed as a result of the attack.

“Our pricing strategy for Lodoco is focused on helping to ensure access to as many people as possible,” an executive with Agepha Pharma told Cardiovascular Business. 

The patient's leg remains disfigured years after the incident.
