The American College of Cardiology, Association of Black Cardiologists and several other U.S. societies released a new joint statement on the ruling.

The new therapy, made from the pancreatic cells of deceased donors, is designed to help adult type 1 diabetes with severe hypoglycemia go a year or longer without needing to take insulin. 

The upcoming changes include a total of 395 new codes, 25 deletions and 13 revisions.
