| The Month in Review | Editor's Note: Leadership updates, breaking research, stories pulled from national headlines—January included a little bit of everything here at Cardiovascular Business! Two stories really stood out to me this month: the dramatic tale of NFL player Damar Hamlin, who went into cardiac arrest on the field, and our interview about TAVR trends with Samir Kapadia, MD. “This is a team sport; it is not about individuals,” Dr. Kapadia said when I asked him for words of wisdom for other TAVR programs. This should be true in all of healthcare, shouldn’t it? Teamwork leads to new ideas and better patient care. And the teamwork on display after Hamlin’s injury, when healthcare professionals were there to provide the care he needed, helped save his life. As always, thanks for reading. – Michael Walter | Editor Editor's Note: Leadership updates, breaking research, stories pulled from national headlines—January included a little bit of everything here at Cardiovascular Business!
