Toshiba names X-Ray Vascular business unit director

TUSTIN, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Enhancing its product leadership team, Toshiba America Medical Systems, Inc. has named David Sloop director, X-ray Vascular Business Unit. Sloop will be responsible for implementing strategic marketing plans to drive growth and profitability of Toshiba’s X-ray Vascular product line.

“David Sloop came to Toshiba in 2012 with 22 years of experience in the healthcare industry and a remarkable ability to grow business,” said Nancy Gillen, vice president, Marketing, Toshiba. “His extensive experience in diagnostic imaging, and meeting and exceeding customer requirements, make him the ideal candidate to lead Toshiba’s XR/VL Business Unit.”

Sloop’s career includes positions in business unit management, new business development, consultative and solutions sales, and contract negotiations. Before this new role, Sloop was a key account executive for Toshiba, responsible for developing relationships and business with high-profile regional accounts. Prior to that, Sloop spent 13 years at Siemens Healthcare, most recently as manager, West Zone Business Unit, Angiography/X-ray Division. Sloop has a bachelor’s degree from Ohio State University and is a graduate of UCLA’s School of Respiratory Therapy.
