Health First announces Sharon Cochran, RN, MSN Administrative Director of Cardiovascular Services for Health First Holmes Regional Medical Center

ROCKLEDGE, FL (August 20, 2013) – Health First is pleased to announce Sharon Cochran, RN, MSN has been named Administrative Director of Cardiovascular Services for Health First Holmes Regional Medical Center. Cochran will provide leadership to nursing units, Cardiology Services and Respiratory Services. She will also work with Cardiovascular Surgical Services.

Cochran has an extensive background in patient care services, hospital procedures and practice management. She previously served as Corporate Director of Invasive Cardiac Services and Chest Pain Centers at Mountain States Health Alliance in Johnson City, TN. She also served as Director of Cardiovascular Service Line and Regional Director of Ambulatory CVS and WCHI at Wellmont CVA Heart Institute/Bristol Medical Center in Kingsport and Bristol, TN. Cochran spent many years as a Critical Care, Cardiac Cath Lab and Emergency Room nurse. She has clinical experience in Cardiovascular Intensive Care, Cardiac Open Heart Units, Cardiac Stress and Nuclear Labs, Cardio Pulmonary Labs, Cardiac Catheterization Labs, Operating Rooms, Medical and Surgical Intensive Care, Medical-Surgical and Progressive Care Units and Emergency Rooms. 

Cochran has a Master of Science in Nursing with a focus in leadership and management from Walden University in Minneapolis and earned her Bachelor of Science in Organizational Management from Tusculum College in Greeneville, TN.  She earned her Associate Science of Nursing from Walters State Community College in Morristown, TN and her Licensed Practical Nurse from Johnson City Vocational School in Johnson City, TN.
