AstraZeneca updates health program to include people with cardiovascular disease
Fit2Me, a free diet and lifestyle program from AstraZeneca, recently added resources for people who have or at risk for cardiovascular disease.
The website now offers individualized diet, activity and treatment support for people with type 2 diabetes, high cholesterol, high blood pressure and high triglycerides as well for people who had an MI. Digital coaches offer support, as well.
People using the program can now use the new Fit My Fridge feature that offers advice on what they can cook based on ingredients already in their homes. They also have access to more than 10,000 recipes based on criteria from the American Diabetes Association and American Heart Association as well as more than 500 physical activities and exercises.
Since AstraZeneca launched Fit2Me in 2014, more than 1.4 million people have visited the website.
