Medtronic receives CE Mark for CRT pacemakers
Medtronic announced on Feb. 24 that the company had received CE marks for quadripolar cardiac resynchronization therapy (CRT) pacemakers that allow patients to receive MRIs.
The pacemakers are not yet FDA-approved.
In March, the following Medtronic CRT pacemakers will be available in Europe: the Percepta Quad CRT-P MRI SureScan, the Serena Quad CRT-P MRI SureScan and the Solara Quad CRT-P MRI SureScan.
The pacemakers are used to treat patients with heart failure and allow patients access to diagnostic imaging.
