Drug prices projected to jump 7.35% for hospitals
Pharmaceutical consulting company Vizient expects drug prices for hospitals to rise 7.35 percent between July 2018 and the same time next year.
The increase is slightly lower than in previous years, reflecting fewer products projected to see “exorbitant” price hikes, according to Vizient’s report.
“While slightly lower, this increase still represents a substantial impact, especially given the use of many high-cost drugs across our members,” Dan Kistner, senior vice president of pharmacy solutions for Vizient, said in a press release.
