Abiomed appoints Todd A. Trapp as new CFO

Todd A. Trapp will take over as CFO of Abiomed on April 9, the company announced March 30.

Abiomed, known for its Impella heart pumps, said it performed an “extensive search” before tapping Trapp to join the company. Since 2015 Trapp has been CFO at Watts Water Technologies, a $1.5 billion manufacturer of water quality products. Prior to that, he worked in various financial and operational roles at Honeywell International.

“Todd’s impressive proven record of accomplishment as a global CFO exemplifies his financial expertise, operational discipline and leadership,” Abiomed CEO Michael R. Minogue said in a press release. “Todd will help Abiomed rise to the next level for the patients that we serve and our shareholders.”

I am very excited to join Abiomed, a company that has and continues to revolutionize patient care with its world class Impella technology," Trapp said. "I am committed to working closely with the employees and shareholders to further grow the company and continue Abiomed’s tradition of strong execution.”
