Angela Burns, MS, ACS, RCS appointed director of clinical operations at CardioServ

CardioServ announces the appointment of Angela Burns, MS, ACS, RCS, as Director of Clinical Operations, strengthening its operational leadership and client delivery capabilities across cardiovascular imaging programs.

Burns brings nearly two decades of experience in cardiovascular imaging, education, and clinical program leadership. Most recently, she served as an associate professor at St. Catherine University for six years, where she played a key role in educating and mentoring the next generation of sonographers. She completed advanced echocardiography training at Mayo Clinic, where she later served as an Advanced Cardiac Sonographer. She also remains an active speaker at regional and national conferences and holds leadership roles within professional sonography organizations.

In her new role, Burns will oversee clinical operations across key client programs, including peer review workflows, quality initiatives, and program delivery. She will work directly with healthcare partners to support consistency, standardization, and performance improvement in cardiovascular imaging.

Burns will also contribute to the expansion of Better Cardiology, supporting the development of educational content, webinars, and future speaking initiatives focused on advancing physician and sonographer education.

“Angie brings a strong foundation in clinical education and program development, paired with proven operational leadership,” said Judith Buckland, president of CardioServ. “Her experience building and leading training programs will be instrumental as we continue to scale our services and support healthcare systems with high-quality, consistent echocardiography workflows and structured peer review initiatives."
