Cardiologist sues hospital for alleged underpayment

Kris Godlewski, MD, a cardiologist, filed a lawsuit against Saint Peter’s Hospital in Montana claiming the hospital cost him $600,000 over six years, KTVH reports.

The television station reported that lawyers for Saint Peter’s denied the allegations.

Godlewski, who worked at the hospital, claims that he had between 34 and 35 relative value units (RVU) per but the hospital recorded him as having 22 to 23 RVUs per day. Godlewski said he brought up the discrepancy with hospital leaders, but they ignored his complaints.

Godlewski also claimed that the hospital had patients complain about him, according to KTVH, which added that the doctor still works at the hospital.
