Judge denies BBT’s motion to dismiss a Florida cardiologist’s Chapter 7 bankruptcy filing
A judge in Florida denied Branch Banking and Trust Company’s motion to dismiss a cardiologist’s Chapter 7 bankruptcy case, Bloomberg BNA reports. A medical practice owned by Eze D. Uche, MD, had a mortgage with BB&T and defaulted on the loan before bringing the mortgage current.
BB&T later wanted a judgment of $739,062 against the practice, which caused Uche to file for Chapter 7 bankruptcy. BB&T the moved to dismiss the bankruptcy for cause.
