Private equity-backed cardiology group partners with additional healthcare investment firm
US Heart and Vascular (USHV), the cardiology-focused physician practice management platform operated by Ares Management, has announced a new partnership with Rubicon Founders, a Nashville-based investment firm focused on the healthcare industry.
According to USHV, the new relationship helps expand its ability to support the cardiology practices it partners with and “build an effective, expanded care model through comprehensive capability-building and an enhanced technological platform.” USHV will now have access to funds from both Ares Management and Rubicon Founders as it continues to grow its network and work with like-minded cardiologists and cardiology practices.
Adam Boehler, the founder and CEO of Rubicon Founders, previously held roles in both the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and the U.S. Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.
US Heart and Vascular’s busy month
This represents the third significant addition to USHV’s practice management platform in a matter of weeks. The group previously announced new partnerships with HeartPlace, a Dallas-based cardiology practice with more than 20 locations, and Heartland Cardiology, a Wichita, Kansas-based practice with four locations.
USHV is not the only private equity-backed player making a splash in cardiology in 2023. Cardiovascular Associates of America and American Vascular Associates have also made big moves in recent months.
