NovaRad updates RIS/PACS
NovaRad has released upgrades--including new management reports and updated hard and soft block appointment scheduling--to the firm's NovaRIS/NovaPACS 7.2.
According to the American Fork, Utah-based company, NovaRIS offers a 'hard block' time scheduling option, intended to eliminate double-bookings and erroneous appointments, along with a 'soft block' option that enables informational flags to be put into the system while still allowing staff to schedule appointments if they fit into the parameters of the 'soft block' criteria.
The new management reports provide facilities with the capability to drill down into specific staffing, billing and productivity areas, NovaRad said. The RIS/PACS system is Web-based and runs on the same open-source platform.
The combined system is also available in Spanish and through an application service provider (ASP) model.
