PaceMate acquires Medtronic workflow tech, promising ‘unparalleled support’ for heart patients
PaceMate, a Florida-based company focused on remote monitoring and patient management technologies, has acquired Medtronic’s Paceart Optima system, a workflow tool designed to capture data from a variety of sources and communicate directly with a provider’s electronic health record (EHR).
Financial details of this transaction have not been announced to the public.
PaceMate is most widely known for PaceMateLIVE, its cardiac monitoring platform that organizes and prioritizes patient data in a way intended to maximize worklists. This move is expected to add nearly 1,000 new locations to PaceMate’s global network. The company and Medtronic have agreed to “collaborate closely” in the months ahead to ensure the transition is as smooth as possible for patients.
