VIDEO: Understanding reimbursements and coding for echocardiography

 

Echocardiographers go through years of training, but many of them struggle to understand how, exactly, to get paid for doing their jobs. Concerns over reimbursements only rise each year as the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services continues to slash payments, raising questions about how long seeing Medicare patients will even be financially viable.
