Geoff Rose discusses how to manage a sustainable cardiology practice in the coming decade

Cardiology faces one of its most challenging decades ahead, with mounting pressures from workforce shortages, an aging population and declining reimbursements. To remain sustainable, practices must rethink how care is delivered, explained Geoffrey Rose, MD, president of Sanger Heart and Vascular Institute, during a business of cardiology session at the ACC.25, the American College of Cardiology annual meeting in Chicago. He shared details in this video interview with Cardiology Business.

“The first approach is really just understand the times that we’re in,” Rose said. “We’ve got an aging population, which is not news, but compounding that is the fact that the numbers who are joining our ranks in nursing, allied health and physicians is not keeping pace with demand.”
