The global event, now in its second year, is raising money for Doctors Without Borders. 

The procedure's clinical success rate was 97.8%, researchers reported.

The meta-analysis included data from 14 different studies investigating the differences between guided and standard antiplatelet therapy after PCI.

The recall comes after multiple reports of electrical failure, which can cause the pump to smoke, give off a strong burning odor or stop working altogether. 

The team's AI-based fractional flow reserve calculations achieved a strong area under the curve, sensitivity and specificity. 

Putting OAC therapy on hold does have its own benefits, the authors wrote, but uninterrupted OAC therapy is still the better choice. 

Abbott is currently seeking a similar approval from the FDA.
