The portable solution demonstrated its value in a new study funded by the American Heart Association.

The American College of Cardiology and Society for Cardiovascular Angiography (SCAI) and Interventions are just two of the medical societies concerned about this proposal. 

LAAC patients see clear benefits when echocardiographic guidance (EG) is used in addition to fluoroscopy.

The team behind the trial thinks this technology could help cut down on unnecessary invasive procedures. 

The screening, carried out with handheld ultrasound devices, can lead to quicker diagnoses and better patient care. 

The Blue Venture Fund, a collaboration of dozens of Blue Cross Blue Shield companies, led the funding round.
