According to multiple customer complaints, the battery packs are failing before they should. This creates the potential for significant complications, including death.

While the manufacturer says its solution is a safe and effective treatment option, the FDA wanted more information. 

The new study, published in JAMA, examined patients presenting with both in-hospital and out-of-hospital STEMI.

Early research suggests the wearable device can deliver consistent measurements, providing accuracy where other methods have struggled. 

“The findings of this study highlight the need for strategies to reduce and manage the burden of false-positive ILR alerts,” the researchers said.

This was the first analysis of the risk of ICH in patients with AFib taking different oral anticoagulants.

The platform utilizing both image types detected cancer with a positive predictive value of 44%, beating out a contrast-only approach.
