Philips updates EP physiomonitor at HRS
Philips Healthcare introduced a new electrophysiology (EP) logging and reporting feature for its Xper Information Management Physiomonitoring 5 product at the 2009 Heart Rhythm Society (HRS) conference in Boston last week.
The feature enables EP labs that perform complicated procedures to capture and integrate clinical information at the point of care, which can allow clinicians to focus more time on the patient. Philips said its new capabilities include vital signs monitoring, customizable templates for EP clinical reporting and data mining. Optionally, the configuration can interface with third-party EP recording systems, as well as with Philips Xcelera cardiovascular image management system, which allows electrophysiologists to view and incorporate images into their clinical reports.
