Odd physical signs sometimes warn of heart disease
Many people don’t know they have cardiovascular disease until they end up in the hospital with myocardial infarction. But a few strange external signs could signal all is not right with the heart, an anatomy professor noted in The New Zealand Times.
Adam Taylor, with Lancaster University in the United Kingdom, pointed out physical signals such as creased earlobes and clubbed fingernails have been linked to heart disease. Other symptoms like blue lips, poor tooth health, fatty bumps on the skin and a ring around the iris of the eye could also be indicators of cardiovascular disease.
