Cardiovascular Systems, Inc. (CSI), a Minnesota-based healthcare technology company focused on treating peripheral artery disease (PAD) and coronary artery disease (CAD), announced that the first patient has been treated with its ViperCross peripheral support catheter.
Billy J. Kim, MD, a vascular surgeon at the Surgical Clinic in Nashville, completed the procedure.
“With the commercial launch of ViperCross, CSI now offers a complete portfolio of products for the treatment of PAD, including atherectomy, balloon catheters, guidewires, support catheters and embolic protection,” Scott R. Ward, chairman, president and CEO of CSI, said in a statement. “Combined, these products advance our ability to help physicians improve outcomes for patients undergoing complex peripheral interventions.”
