A care team with the Sanger Heart & Vascular Institute has shared details about its recent successes in TMVR and TAVR. Cardiologist Michael Rinaldi, MD, highlighted the importance of having "a coordinated team of specialists with expertise in treating valve diseases."

The all-day summit, a collaboration between CRF and Fogarty Innovation, will focus on advances in healthcare technologies and patient care.

The news comes after the Onyx Frontier DES gained CE mark approval. It received FDA approval in May.

Overall, PCI patients appear to face a higher risk of in-hospital mortality, 30-day mortality and in-hospital cardiovascular mortality if they present with an active or historical cancer diagnosis. The group's analysis included data from nearly 6.6 million patients.
