AHA/ASA website focuses on valvular disease

The American Heart Association/American Stroke Association (AHA/ASA) has launched a website to educate consumers about valvular disease.

The website will offer content and videos on valvular diseases such as aortic valve disease, mitral valve prolapse and pulmonary valve disease; causes and symptoms; diagnosis; treatment options; and heart health guidance. It also will provide interactive components, patient accounts and expert testimonials.

The website was funded by The Edwards Lifesciences Fund, which awarded the AHA/ASA a four-year, $1.2 million grant in 2012.
