Apple hiring a cardiologist to help develop new products

Apple wants to hire a cardiologist to help design and develop new products. It’s yet another sign that the company is focused on expanding its role in the modern healthcare marketplace.

The full-time position requires an active U.S. medical license and previous experience as an attending cardiologist. Familiarity with “regulated medical products and/or digital health products” is preferred. The job would include collaborating with other departments, providing clinical insight, testing potential new products and working to secure regulatory approvals, among other responsibilities.

Apple’s full job posting on LinkedIn can be read here.

MyHealthyApple, a website focused on the development and use of Apple’s healthcare solutions, first spotted the opening. Click the link below for more details.

If President Trump initiates a 25% tariff against pharmaceuticals imported from Ireland, it might impact the price for X-ray iodine contrast agents in the U.S. depending what rules are put in place.
