Hello Heart, a digital therapeutics company that focuses on heart health, has raised $70 million in a Series D funding round.

Engineers detailed their prototype, which is roughly the size of a small stack of quarters, in Nature Biomedical Engineering.

The new analysis, presented during Heart Rhythm 2022, focused on patients treated at a high-volume facility during the COVID-19 pandemic. 

New data from the STROKE AF clinical trial shows large and small vessel ischemic stroke patients who receive short-term or intermittent monitoring with Holter and 30-day external monitors had fewer AFib episodes detected that continuous implantable cardiac monitors.

The new algorithm was designed to evaluate a user's heart rhythm while they are still or even sleeping. 

A Chinese study of 2.8 million participants found that 94% of users flagged for AFib indeed have the heart rhythm disorder.
