FDA-cleared cardiothoracic imaging tools being added to popular AI platform
Riverain Technologies, an Ohio-based cardiothoracic imaging company, has announced that its U.S. Food and Drug Administration-cleared suite of artificial intelligence (AI) tools is being added to RapidAI’s Rapid Enterprise Platform.
The Rapid Enterprise Platform, a collection of dozens of advanced algorithms, is already helping radiologists evaluate imaging results in more than 2,500 hospitals all over the world. This partnership gives those users access to Riverain’s ClearRead Chest suite, which scans chest CTs and chest X-rays for signs of pulmonary nodules, pneumothoraces and coronary artery calcification.
“ClearRead was developed to help radiologists see subtle chest findings more clearly and confidently within the workflows they already rely on every day,” Steve Worrell, CEO of Riverain Technologies, said in a statement. “By integrating ClearRead Chest into the Rapid Enterprise Platform, we’re expanding access to our advanced chest imaging technology to support earlier detection of leading global killers like lung cancer, and cardiovascular disease and reduce the burden on radiologists facing increasingly complex imaging workloads.”
This collaboration represents a key step forward for both Riverain and RapidAI. While Riverain gets its suite of AI-powered offerings into the hands of more radiologists, RapidAI is able to increase the scope of its Rapid Enterprise Platform and expand its full-body portfolio.
