I share this honor with the many women in cardiology who continue to advance our field through excellence in patient care, research, education, and leadership."”
“The Carolyn McCue Award recognizes leaders who have made a meaningful difference in cardiovascular medicine, and Dr. Alasnag is a wonderful example of that,” added Greg Hundley, MD, director of the VCU Health Pauley Heart Center. “Her commitment to advancing research, supporting women in cardiology and improving care for patients around the world makes her especially deserving of this recognition.”
