Medtronic hires Mark Ploof as senior vice president
Medtronic hired Mark Ploof as senior vice president of global operations and business operations.
Ploof previously worked with portfolio companies of Cerberus Capital Management, a private equity firm based in New York. He most recently was the chief customer experience officer at YP, the marketing company formerly known as Yellow Pages. Ploof also used to work at General Electric.
At Medtronic, Ploof replaces Gary Ellis, a longtime Medtronic executive, senior vice president and chief financial officer (CFO) who plans on retiring at the end of FY2017. In May, Medtronic announced Karen L. Parkhill would assume Ellis’s CFO duties.
Tim Casey joined TriMed Media Group in 2015 as Executive Editor. For the previous four years, he worked as an editor and writer for HMP Communications, primarily focused on covering managed care issues and reporting from medical and health care conferences. He was also a staff reporter at the Sacramento Bee for more than four years covering professional, college and high school sports. He earned his undergraduate degree in psychology from the University of Notre Dame and his MBA degree from Georgetown University.
